The Definition Of Police Emblem

The centre of the emblem comprises the national crest of Brunei Darussalam which describes:

The Flag and Royal Umbrella:
On the topmost is the flag that stands on the Royal Umbrella. This symbolizes the royal significance of Brunei Darussalam.

The Wing:
Under the Royal Umbrella are two wings, each consisting of four feathers symbolizing the protection of justice, tranquility, prosperity and peace.

The Flagpole:
Right in the middle of the crest is the flagpole which supports the Wings symbolizing the firmness and sincerity of state integrity.

The Hand:
On each side of the crest are two hands signifying the Government's pledge to promote welfare, peace and prosperity. At the bottom of both hands, each has three lines which betoken the Islamic Belief.

The Crescent:
Symbol of Islam.

The Arabic script embodied on the crest:
The characters inscribed on the crescent interpret "Always render service by God's guidance".

The crest is surrounded by 99 rice stalks indicating peace and security within the state.

    • To maintain and carry all resolutions passed and adopted by the ASEANAPOL Conference and the INTERPOL General Assembly.

    • To maintain good liaison with other law enforcement agencies and Government Departments.
